Whitney Briggs, CNLP
Whitney Briggs is the owner and founder of HORT & HOME Co. She is a licensed horticulturist in the state of Louisiana and a Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP) through the Louisiana Nursery & Landscape Association. As a Certified Louisiana Native Plant Professional, she brings specialized knowledge of native plants to every garden she designs.
Whitney helps homeowners create gardens that are functional, beautiful, and sensory-rich. You can expect her to provide personalized guidance and actionable plans that reflect each client’s space, style, and lifestyle. Through her work, she positions herself as a thought leader in sustainable and intentional garden design. She enjoys sharing knowledge to help clients and the broader gardening community cultivate spaces that truly thrive.
As a birder, Whitney enjoys creating backyard gardens that attract and support local bird habitats. This combines her love of plants with wildlife-friendly designs. In her spare time, she volunteers as a Master Gardener, supporting school gardens and currently serving on the Ed Press Committee to educate the community about gardening and sustainability.
Whitney also enjoys time at home with her Schnoodle, Moe, and her bunny, Ollie. They are inspiration for her garden designs with their playful curiosity and love for outdoors.
